* additional details...A strong front will move into the eastern
kenai peninsula late thursday night. temperatures will gradually
warm as the front pushes north, possibly transitioning snow to
rain for girdwood, portage, whittier and seward, rising snow
levels to between 300 and 800 feet midday before falling quickly
at the end of the event. there is some uncertainty on the storm
track, which will lead to fluctuations in snow levels.
