excessive rainfall is possible.

creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* additional details...
- portions of the watch area have seen at least 2-4 inches of rain
in the last 24 hours, with some flooding still in progress. while
periods of steady light to moderate rain could slow the
improvement of flooding issues from prior rainfall, there is also
concern that an additional round of scattered heavy rain from
thunderstorms this afternoon and early evening could drop another
1-2 inches of rain in a short time over parts (not all) of the
watch area. this could cause new flooding issues for some areas,
and/or worsen existing flooding problems for those areas that
have already endured heavy rain over the last 24 hours.
fortunately, once any storms move out of the area this evening,
dry weather is then expected to prevail through at least late
friday afternoon.
